LEARNS Afterschool Program & Sports

WILLARD LEARNS AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAM & SPORTS

Willard LEARNS Afterschool is Available via Distance Learning. For many years, Berkeley LEARNS after school program at Willard Middle School has provided a variety of enrichment classes, academic support, recreation, community building, healthy snacks, and interscholastic sports. However, this semester, we will be operating fully online until further notice.

As we find our way through the COVID-19 Pandemic, it is important that students experience the many joys after school programs bring, such as Social Time, Enrichment, Academic Support, Mentorship, and a general sense of connecting with others during these unprecedented times.

We will continue to offer Enrichment and Academic Support with the help of our staff members and partners at Project SMILE, Cal CREATE, BEAM Science, ANOVA Code Club, and more to be added.

As usual, programming will start as soon as school ends, however, in order to attend programming, students will have to click on a secure Zoom link which will be shared with registrants.

We plan to offer various activities, such as virtual museum tours, educational games, discussions, virtual workshops, art, science, and more. Start dates are not yet confirmed at this time, but registration is open.

The 2020-2021 school year will be our first time ever operating an Online-Only/ Distance Learning After School Program. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, we are forced to find creative ways to continue to provide enriching services despite the many factors we are facing daily. The Willard LEARNS After School Program looks forward to serving as many students as possible this school year, and your support is much needed. Learn with us, grow with us, and help create a safe and enriching After School experience with us. Please remember – We are all in this together! –
